DESCRIPTION:This course will certify you as an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer.\nWhether you work at a range or just want to enhance your firearm safety skills, this course will benefit you. This course will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting operation(s) and activities.\nThe RSO certification signifies that you have successfully performed the required safe gun handling (clearing of malfunctions, loading, unloading, general handling) exercises and demonstrated an understanding of Range Standard Operating procedures and Range Safety.  Employees of public and private ranges benefit from this course by being better able to handle day to day range operations.  Range operators may receive discounted insurance rates as a result of all range employees having this certification.\nOnce the class has been completed, students should log into NRAInstructors.org ( http://nrainstructors.org/ ) to activate their credentials. The certificate is $40 for members and $175 for non-members.\nWhat's included in the Class?\n\nClassroom Instruction\nRSO Certification\n\nWhat's needed for the Class?\n\nYou should bring a lunch and something to drink throughout the day.\n\nPrerequisites to take the Class? \n\nThe RSO is expected to be able to address jams and malfunctions of pistols, rifles, and shotguns.  You should be comfortable in handling all three types of firearms.\n\n\n\nClass Cancellation / Reschedule Policy\n\nIf you need to Cancel or Reschedule a class, you must call the store: 847-428-4867\nCancellation / Reschedule of a class from one week to the day of the class is $50.00\n\n\n \n
