SUMMARY:Youth Handgun Safety
DESCRIPTION:\nGAT Guns has a class designed for young shooters ages 8 through 14.\nThis class is taught by an NRA certified instructor. This class is split into two sections, the first portion is in the classroom and teaches firearm handling, safety, and how to deal with guns at home. The second part of the class takes place in our training range and focuses on proper shooting technique including grip, sight picture, stance, breathing, and trigger control. Students must show an acceptable level of safety and proficiency as determined by the instructor to pass this course. We require one adult per student, even in multi children homes because parents will learn how to properly assist their children on the range.\nOnce the course is successfully completed, the student will receive a decorative named certificate and a wallet sized card indicating they have taken this training at GAT GUNS.\nWhen accompanied by a parent with a valid FOID card, a child can present this card and shoot in our range from age 8.
