Intro Part III: The Gun Buffet

Our second level for those who’ve been through our Introduction to Handguns Class another quality introductory class.
Two of the questions we get asked right away after the Intro classes is: “What’s next?” followed by “What gun should I get?” Handgun: Phase II provides an answer to both!
We begin with a refresher session on the fundamentals of handgun shooting, take up the training .22s again, and shoot them for two magazines on the range. Then we head back to the classroom to partake of the Gun Buffet.
TD’s famous Gun Buffet includes a large number of rental 9mm handguns to try out on the range and learn about the various design styles and action types.
You handle them first “dry” in the classroom (take notes!) and then we head back to the range to try them out- all 25-plus of them, 9mms and .38s.
After that, TD will take you to the store to show you how to shop for handguns at the gun shop counters and then we wrap up with a brief session on maintenance and cleaning.
You may bring your own handgun for comparison purposes but please understand that there won’t be much time to shoot it as the class will be working with the gun buffet guns.
If you wish to run your own gun more thoroughly in a fast-paced 100+ round set of drills, we have the Skill Builder class for you to concentrate on that one preferred gun.

TD Roe
TD Roe has been instructing at GAT Guns since 2012.
She is a NRA certified Pistol Instructor, IL Conceal Carry instructor and National Range Officer Institute Certified Range Officer.
She’s been shooting pistols competitively since 2007 and has been sponsored since 2009. She has won and placed in the top 3 ladies in many state, area and national USPSA and IDPA matches. Her training is ongoing and is competitive and tactical based.
TD’s classes are focused on learning gun safety first. Then efficient gun handling and shooting in a fun, approachable, and easy to understand method.
