Handgun Skill Builder
This is a Next Step class for the handgunner with some experience. The intent is for the shooter to build a higher level of proficiency with their chosen handgun. He or she should have at least 150-200 rounds of experience with the gun and know how to work it.
- Students bring their own handgun or rent one from GAT’s rental rack. Only one gun will be used in this class, in order to lock in the shooter with their choice of handgun.
- Multiple magazines or speedloaders are strongly recommended to keep refilling time to a minimum- four if possible. GAT has many magazines for sale downstairs if you wish to purchase more.
- In the classroom, we will first review shooting fundamentals and gunhandling skills, including more advanced techniques such as reloading, one-hand shooting, failure drills, and more.
- Then we go to the range for approximately 150 rounds of fast-paced live fire drills.
- This is a two and a half hour class, 6:00-8:30pm, and you will expend up to 150 rounds.
