Skills & Drills
This class is for handgun users ready to advance beyond the basics and build confidence under realistic conditions. Whether you want to sharpen accuracy, improve speed, or gain better control, this course will challenge you to become a more proficient shooter.
Participants should have fired 150-200 rounds prior to attending and be familiar with their handgun’s operation. This class is ideal for those with some shooting experience or who have completed an introductory handgun course.
Students must bring their own handgun or rent one from GAT’s selection, as only one firearm will be used throughout the class for focused skill development. At least two magazines and a speed loader are strongly recommended to minimize downtime, with additional magazines available for purchase at GAT.
In the classroom, we’ll reinforce core shooting fundamentals and gun-handling techniques, progressing to advanced skills like reloading under pressure, shooting one-handed, and handling malfunctions. Then, on the range, students will put their training to the test with 150 rounds of fast-paced live fire drills designed to refine precision, control, and confidence.
