Handgun Skills Development

This class is designed for handgun users ready to move beyond the basics and continue building confidence with their firearm. Students will work on improving accuracy, speed, recoil control, and overall shooting proficiency through structured instruction and practical drills.
Participants should have fired at least 100 rounds through their handgun prior to attending and be comfortable with the basic operation and safe handling of their handgun. This class is ideal for those who have completed an introductory handgun course or have some prior range experience.
Students must bring their own handgun or rent one from GAT’s rental selection, and the same firearm will be used throughout the class for consistency. Students are responsible for supplying their own ammunition and should bring 150 rounds for the live-fire portion of the course. Bringing at least two magazines (more is better) and a speed loader is strongly recommended to minimize downtime during drills.
The class begins with a short classroom session reviewing core fundamentals and introducing skills such as efficient reloads, one-handed shooting, and malfunction handling, followed by 150 rounds of live-fire drills designed to build accuracy, control, and confidence.
